DAY HIKE TO ORCHARD CAMP

When:  June 8 (Saturday); meet at Trailhead 9:00 AM
Where:  San Gabriel Mountains, Sierra Madre, Mt Wilson Trail--Orchard Camp

Distance:  Round-Trip 9 miles, 2000' elevation gain

Join us for a good conditioning starting hike in the front range San 
Gabriels.  This hike is a pleasant journey along what was once one of the 
most popular trails in these mountains, terminating at the site of a 
destroyed mountain retreat, along a wild-flowing stream and near several 
old fruit trees (hence Orchard Camp).  We will eat lunch here and return 
the same way.

One particular side benefit of this trip are the fine whole wheat pizzas to 
be had nearby after the hike.

This hike will be cancelled only by act of God (rain, fire, typhoon, etc.).
